Latin American video game convention draws 30k
Nov. 3
You read correctly, 30k people hopped, skipped, and jumped to the Expo Bancomer Santa Fe convention center two weekends ago for the eighth annual Electronic Game Show.
“EGS 2009 once again illustrated the continued growth of the Latin American videogame industry,” said Jorge Lizarraga, CEO of the show-organizing company Oelli. “As the Latin American market continues to expand, the importance of networking and developing strong relationships with consumers expands as well. EGS and its sister show, EGS Business, have proven to be essential to the process of growing and strengthening the industry.”Major video game companies Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Konami, Activision, Blizzard, Sega, Warner Brothers Interactive, and THQ and Disney Interactive Studios were all on hand and showed off such titles as Pro Evolution Soccer 2010, DJ Hero, Bayonetta, Dantes Inferno, and Brutal Legend.
Why wasn’t I invited, huh?
